Language: We can tell this is an advertisement, by looking at the people and creatures. We can also see that there’s writing in different colours in different places and a picture of the product they are advertising. The background of the advertisement is just a plan brown which kind of draws your attention to the writing in the centre. The type of features that is used will determine what genre it is. The slogan is place under the image of the product “You’re not you when you’re hungry.” This catchy slogan will make people remember to by this product when they’re hungry. Institution: This is made by Mars incorporated which is an American global manufacturer. This is ranked as the 3rd private company in the united states. Audience: The targeted audience for this advertisement is probably 60% male and 40% female. This is because a man named Mr T is the man who comes up and says the slogan “You’re not you when you’re hungry.” The age range will probably be 10- 60 (excluding people who are allergic to nuts) because it’s affordable. The reason why it’s not suitable for people over 60 is because they might not be able to chew the nuts. Representation: The representation of this advert is partially for black male because it has a black man named ‘Mr T’ who is the person that appears the most. Although, in the recent advert it had white, male rugby players which can also apply to white males. On the other hand, they had a female to show that females can also buy this product.
